Centra Tech - 2018

Back in 2018, boxer Floyd Mayweather (along with DJ Khaled) were sued for their roles in a Crypto scam. They made deals to endorse Centra Tech's ICO without revealing that they’d been paid. ICO stands for Initial Coin Offering and is similar to offering company stock to investors prior to exchange listing. Centra Tech founders Raymond Trapani, Sohrab [SAM] Sharma and Robert Farkas were found guilty.

EthereumMax - 2022

EMAX was advertised as an "exclusive cryptocurrency". Buying a ticket with EMAX will provide variety of perks. If a single order was more than $5k, the buyer was promised “authentic, signed Floyd Mayweather boxing gloves”. EMAX users were advertised by a 10% additional discount at checkout. On top of that, they were promised exclusive access to two front-row, ringside tickets. And the icing of the cake: the chance to win a lottery to attend the “official Mayweather after-party. WOW!

Launched in Apr 2022, the project attracted less than $200k from early investors.

Summary
