Crypto call for action: Re-design Money now before it's too late!

We all know a storm is coming.
Even my 14 year old knows it and yesterday told me: "Dad, we have no future".

I was devastated. Hence I decided to put forward what in my view can save us from ourselves: If we shy away from re-designing money there will be no viable future for humankind on this planet. Able programming into money, make it democratic and a public-good.
The core of this idea is to change the power dynamics between humans & money. Instead of money dictating our behavior, let's encode into money our values and consensus.

We have now a slowly maturing technology that allows us for the first time in human history, to instruct money how to behave by using code to program it in digital form. This is where the future of Crypto is. This is where consensus, decentralization, public ownership, open access, tokenization, Web3 and transparency should lead the way to. Creating money that answers to our will, being repatriated into public hands, democratic, owned by all, used as the tool for social good and cooperation that it was in the first place.

We all know that at the core of the coming tipping point hides an opportunity for change.
And we all know that this all engulfing Minsky moment arriving, is caused by the inherent destructive nature of our constantly consuming ever growing cancerous economic system.

Crypto & Blockchain et al. was supposed to change all of that.
Instead, more than a decade has passed and crypto became more of the same. More of the same on steroids. Business as usual on speed.
Yes, not all crypto. There are many worthy projects. Problem is, they are all run on the current operating system which underlines our economic system: MONEY!

The solution: Change money.
Put it into public hands where it was supposed to be in the first place, Code it for common good.
I truly believe that a viable prosperous future cannot be achieved without changing the infrastructure and the software that is making us run. An operating system that pushes for profit above all, centralizes money control & creation, deepens inequality, environmental and health crises, is a system of self obliteration.
Money is a resource and should belong to us all. Now is the time for it to incarnate using what we have learned in this space for almost a decade and a half. Algorithms integrated into money can do about anything. We only need to ask ourselves what is it that we want to achieve? And tell money to do it.

So here is my request: Help me breathe hope for my children and yours by first and foremost contemplating on this. If you could order money around, decide on the manner it should execute, tell it how to behave and where to go, what would you let it do?

I am posting this here because I know this community consists of intelligent and conscience people. I hope I got your attention.

I allow myself to post a link to an in depth post about this subject I wrote (NO self promotion - I gain nothing but spreading ideas). In it I am giving a few examples from my naive brain that demonstrate the possibilities of coding money into action and adopting a new model of ownership and control over it. It is the first of many posts as I have promised my teenage girls that we have the power to change things, and we will!
