Im having a bit of a difficult time wrapping my head around this. I see the best practice is to run a full node, bitcoin core. This is to maintain individuality and not need to rely on another node/server for broadcasting transactions etc. BUT I see you also need a seperate server, electrum, fulcrum, electrs Is there any point in running a node at all if you dont run an electrum server?
I thought the idea of a full bitcoin node was that it provided those features. Where am I misunderstanding full/pruned node is good for network support & privacy electrum/fulcrum etc; server is even better privacy but whats the difference, isnt a electrum server just querying my full node to begin with!? Doesn't your node send and receive transactions?
sorry if noob. thanks for reading
