Expensive night out

Just thought I’d share this fun little story. I was catching up with an old friend in London in 2014/15 and he told me about this bitcoin thing and that there was a pub in London that took bitcoin via a qr code, he transferred 0.1 bitcoins into a wallet he set up for me and I bought a round. As if that wasn’t bad enough I bought a further 40 quids worth and between us we spent nearly 1 bitcoin on a single night on a few pints and a bit of food. He can now happily retire on bitcoin, I cannot.
