How and what was it? I think conviction is overrated and we need to be more open-minded about things, especially in crypto when maximalism and tribalism are so common.
For me, I used to believe BTC and ETH are the only things that mattered in crypto. Everything else was speculation and copycats trying to ride their coat tails.
I still think those two are the safest bets, especially in the long term, they'll survive.
But my big CMV moment came when I saw DOGE, of all things, gain mainstream attention, got on SNL, etc. and how effortlessly it was for regular people to get involved without some big tech explanation or youtube video trying to persuade them why decentralization is good, or what PoW is.
Instead, it sold itself. People like memes, and it was fun to get some doggy coins.
I now think crypto can be more than this super serious world saving tech, and there's a lot of room for other things, like DOGE or AI coins, or whatever. Like the internet, crypto should support what people are interested in.
