How to actually do Fiat on a Bitcoin Standard Unit-of-Account and “End the Fed”

I think STRC where it is today is actually healthy with all the hype and “stablecoin” claims wiped away. I’m glad they stopped trying to prop it up. Strategy will do well for its holder from here without too much more dilution.

When you have Bitcoin as Unit-of-Account or Bitcoin-per-Share, you can’t print forever without creating value, or at least you can’t print faster than the US government.

I expect Strategy and other treasury companies to start exploring alternatives and productive business. There is obviously options like LQWD and making Bitcoin on Lightning Network / Ark fees or even Nostr Hosting.

There’s a missing middle I’d like to see explored though as even when the Bitcoin Standard is achieved I expect people to still rent and buy productive things over time. At the very least there will be trade finance and assurances for when goods are in transit.

Thinking about that world lets us build from the possibilities of today. BTC for cashflow business or private credit is an effort to adapt learnings from covered call funds and STRC to build a system that starts denominating in Bitcoin even if still transacting in fiat.

We can “End the Fed” by just making the Fed overnight rate irrelevant. Economically the infographic shows how a variable rate fiat “loan” (but moreso a partnership) on a Bitcoin basis can work. Gonna leave a shout out to the folks at Battery Finance that pioneer this.
