How to stake ETH without “selling”?

I want to stake my ETH in a relatively simple way without “selling” or “swapping” from ETH to stETH or cbETH, etc.

Is there a way of doing this or a way of interpreting so the IRS doesn’t view it as a sale?

I’m fine with paying tax on staking rewards as revenue but don’t want to “sell” to stake
