Just this morning, I saw on my whatapps group chat that a friend of mine has reset his defi wallet app on his mobile because he wanted to import one of his wallet from another device but was told he already have too many wallet on his app and have to reset the wallets on his app to import new wallet. He told us he thought he was resetting one of his wallet but somehow after he confirmed resetting, all his three wallets was gone from the app. He could not find where he have kept his recovery phrases for his main wallet which have about 0.6 bitcoin and 1.8 eth. He is now in agony turning his whole house upside down looking for the 12 words recovery phrases.
Two days ago, a friend told me his reddit app was lagging very badly until it doesn't load. He decided to uninstall and reinstall in the end. But he forgot that by doing that, his reddit vault is also removed from the uninstallation. He also cannot remember where he keep his 12 words recovery phrases . He remember writing on a paper but he cannot find the paper now. He only have 3 premium avatars inside, but they are low mints low supply avatar totalling about few thousands.
These are the reasons why I have memorise my 12 words recovery phrases for 3 of my defi wallets in my brain by the visualisation techniques. Just spent half an hour the most and it would save you massive heart break and heavy financial loss one fine day in a circumstances you didn't expect. Below is the step for the visualisation techniques to remember the 12 words recovery phrases. It only take me 15 mins and i can memorise a 12 words recovery phrases in my heart. I try to recall it once in a while to refresh my memory. Sharing this here and reminding everyone so that you all don't have to go through the heartbreaks what the two people in my example went through.
Visualisation is a powerful technique that can help you remember a list of words. Here are the steps to use visualisation to remember a list of words:
Create a mental image for each word: Take each word in the list and create a mental image that represents it. For example, if the word is "apple," you could imagine a bright red apple with a stem and a leaf.
Link the images together: Once you have a mental image for each word, link them together in a story or a sequence. For example, if your list of words is "apple, book, cat, dog, elephant," you could imagine a story where you are walking through an orchard (apple), reading a book (book), and then you see a cat (cat) chasing a dog (dog) who is running away from an elephant (elephant).
Visualize the story: Once you have linked the images together, visualize the story in your mind. Try to make the images as vivid and detailed as possible. Imagine the colors, sounds, and smells associated with each image.
Repeat the story: Repeat the story in your mind several times until you can recall it easily. You can also try writing the story down or telling it to someone else to reinforce the memory.
By using visualisation to remember the list of words for your recovery phrases, you can create a memorable and engaging story that will help you recall the words more easily.
