Been a maxi for a while now (first found out about BTC in 2014) and I've been keeping my coins cold / off exchanges for the longest time.
However today I have finally taken the plunge and I am running a full node with a lightning network node as well :D Feels amazing to have so much sovereignty over my own wealth, for the first time I actually feel like I am my own bank.
It's really empowering! I highly recommend setting one up if only to experience this feeling!
