Tokenized stocks never made sense to me from an institutional POV.
Imagine you run a hedge fund onchain. Do you want your trade positions to be publicly visible to anyone who can read a block explorer?
If you use AI or know onchain analytics, you could easily guess when a large fund is building or unwinding a position. All you need is to analyze data points like wallet flows, repeated order sizes, address clusters, etc.
The risk here is that if other traders can see trade intent, they can frontrun it.
Traditional markets have things like block trades and dark pools to reduce this kind of information leakage for large orders.
What should the onchain equivalent look like for tokenized stocks? Because if institutions want to trade with size onchain, I doubt theyβll want their entire execution strategy visible in real time.
I mean, how much transparency is useful before it starts hurting mainstream adoption?
