Starting tomorrow is Matic/Poly banned in NY on coinbase? Do I need to send it to a wallet?

So I recieved an email today from coinbase notifying me that after today matic will be changed to pol and that NY has banned matic transfers. Does this mean I need to sell my matic, should I send it to a wallet? Can someone help explain this to me? I don't want to lose my bag. I still have GALA V1 trapped on coinbase because I never sent it off app when coinbase stopped enabling it. I don't want the same to happen to my Matic. Thank you!
