What does it actually mean to be financially independent?

All Cryptocurrencies

by COINS NEWS 21 Views

This is going to be a long rant so grab a coffee if you care enough to read. I had some deep discussion late last night and would like to share. Most people will ignore or scoff at this but I will post it anyway for those who understand what I am suggesting. I am far beyond giving af about optics with this stuff and will cross post this in a few different crypto subreddits.

This topic will be about the fundamentals of "crypto" and a core philosophy of the use case for those trying to meet these specific goals:

- Alleged financial freedom AKA financial independence for self and community

- "Decentralization" from a rules for thee but not for me class based system

- Control of taxation submissions not as a way to freeload but to have ownership of contractual agreements AKA actually choosing tax payments towards community goals rather than having them ganked from a paycheck without consent of WHO pockets those funds

- Generational wealth that multiplies quality of life as time goes on AKA immunity to growing debt slavery and building a better life towards universal financial equality

This post is focused on bringing back power to the individual. It's not about dodging taxes, criminal activity or political discussion of what system of government is better or worse. Many traditional finance individuals will most likely see this as unrealistic nonsense based on what they are used to accepting as "normal" business. I am not against taxes or paying into a communal system. I am however against having my personal labor manipulated by a few high level groups that have a very clear goal of a class based system where the financial gap between those who have and have not is beyond measure. I believe we are watching this happen real time and have potential tools for resolution.

So with all of that said this is the core concept. Mind you THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE or meant as a way to deflect from sensible participation in local government/community funding. What some would incorrectly label "criminal activity". Social programs have great benefit and are the backbone of a functional society. Thus I want to separate from the financial criminals encroachment ... not become one of them and expect someone else to pay my share in a society.

From an end user perspective holding digital ledger assets are pretty much the same across the board. What is the true difference between an NFT, crypto coin, stock or any other digital representation of goods? Obviously there are real world descriptors that make each of these investments independent of each other but what I am saying is from a grand perspective in the physical world it is ALL speculative fiat. When you hold NVIDIA stock you are not actually holding microchips in your account. The digital asset may be tied to real world goods but from our side of the fence as holders all digital ledger assets operate the exact same way.

If you read this far I thank you. Now that the picture is painted lets get to the root of the conversation. The whole point of cryptocurrency's birth was to give back control to the individual as a survival tool against traditional finances massive manipulation tactics, mostly enforced by federal governments. I am not going to argue with those that think "adoption" and incorporating the traditional systems into cryptocurrency is a net positive. I would suggest doing this actually removes the capability of what cryptocurrency was meant to be and essentialy makes it a redundant digital traditional finance system. Reinventing the wheel while giving the same leaders that abuse traditional finance the power to do this with cryptocurrency as well.

Certain projects have worked very diligently to hold standards against this forced incorporation such as Monero. While all coins are on a public ledger and therefore by definition not actually "decentralized" there is still the capability of opting out from federal pressures swallowing up our financial independence via regulation that those same legislators do not follow and are apparently immune to. You all know what I am talking about and it is more overt than ever.

This is where the individual has pushback against legislated redistribution of your personal finances. All federal regulation is built on language via universal commercial code. This language is what allows law to be descriptive and have weight using agreed upon terms. So if you understand how much mental manipulation goes into the U.S. legal system than this will feel familiar. Let me ask a simple question. Why do we as the end user CHOOSE to define a digital asset as "cryptocurrency"? Seriously think about that for a second. If all regulation is targeting crypto and we as the end user change the language of the digital asset than what actually defines crypto from any other digital asset such as NFT's, stocks, etc. that I have mentioned earlier?

So lets say a new digital asset was created but rather than defining this asset as "cryptocurrency" instead the community changes the language to define this asset as something else. You would now have a new digital asset that works exactly the same as any other digital ledger but is now outside of the federal restrictions/regulations of "crypto" laws. The same way selling digital art online is not legally defined as "cryptocurrency". It's an exchange of code via digital means for profit no different than crypto and yet holds separate legal definition from crypto. The only thing that changed was the agreed upon DEFINITION of the goods. The government did not define crypto as crypto, the creators/engineers did. See where I am going with this?

The best example I can give is one that many of you may not have knowledge of but bare with me. The evolution of Delta 8 THC. Marijuana laws were created and enforced on those who felt these laws were discriminative and unjust so what happened? A set of engineers that thought outside the box realized if they modify the strain of marijuana it then becomes classified as a new substance that does not fall under marijuana legal definition. Then once legislation is made against that newly defined substance they re-engineer it again and now you have Delta 9 ... Delta 10 ... Whatever the engineers choose to redefine it as. It is a cat and mouse game and the engineers are winning. You may say okay sure but then new legislation is enacted against the next chemical compound that is synthesized. This is where the individual power comes into play. Since the current U.S. legal system moves so slow we as individuals will always have a window to operate within that federal influence really can not control in a timely fashion due to the engineers ability to "rewrite the code" so quickly. Perhaps code is infact law as most of you would say?

So take that same exact concept and apply it to "crypto". If you change the definiton of the asset AKA the "chemical code" of the asset than it by definition becomes something new that does not fall under the regulation of traditional crypto finance. The beauty of this is because it is all digital code there are endless potentials for rebranding crypto into infinite alternatives that would not be legally defined under "cryptocurrency" nor any other legalese terms provided that asset was continually evolved with new definitions over a time line. Is it digital "music"? "art"? A "document" perhaps? Those are extreme examples but completely workable in this conversation of how current legal system definitions operate.

You may say okay sure but what happens when legislation scraps all of that and decides to just make rulesets against "all digital assets". Once again because of programming code and the legal language gymnastics one can just redefine the device used for individual finance to literally any new definition. It does not even have to be defined as a "digital asset" nor an "asset" at all to be honest. Legal definitons are a contractual agreement and can not just simply be changed without consensus (although most politicans sure do try). By the community choosing to redefine the "asset" it could potentially give them leverage to opt out of legislation that is clearly imposed as a cash grab to remove wealth from the many and maintain it within the few. I truly believe for any sort of true global "adoption" to take place without heavy manipulation from the top a design similar to this concept should be realized. A coin project manager could even build evolutionary states of the coin directly into the source code so that over a timeline from a coding standpoint the asset re-defines itself based on a set schedule/principles/classification scheme.

This idea is absolutely going to get criticism and negative feedback from those who are too comfortable with the traditional financial system and simply wish to "vote the bad out" but as someone who has been alive for multiple decades I strongly believe this is no longer an option moving forward. In order to survive the economic gap between the haves and have nots we as a community would greatly benefit from taking responsible action to secure our families financial independence. At this rate our children are going to have a very low quality of life if we continue on the current path that allows federal oligarchies the power of deciding individual financial freedoms.

Anyway those that get it will get it and I hope this acts as a thought piece for others to ponder on. Those that don't I say good luck in the coming years. Go ahead and explain all the reasons why it can't be accomplished or is absurd. Personally I am done worrying about what people think anymore and we as a society (specifically U.S.A.) are far past fucked. Fact of the matter is no matter which political selection is made I can assure you one thing will remain constant under this current traditional system. You will make less and they will take more. This includes your childrens potential futures. Just something to think about.

Also ... it should not matter but just to throw it out there I am NOT an anarchist, communist, etc. nor believe that a community can exist with zero taxes/funding of social programs or sensible regulation. Any system that uses currency as a baseline for social contracts needs to have true checks and balances which we just simply do not have whatsoever using traditional financial structures anymore. I simply wish for less suffering and greater equality of life for humans universally. Have a good day everyone!
