What is to stop it becoming financialised and toyed with by enormous institutions, just like any other commodity? Couldn't they just sell off large bags of bitcoin until the price tanks and it becomes worth a fraction of what it is now? Do we simply ignore that and continue buying btc and ultimately exchanging coins, within a parallel economy, when the larger dollar economy eats itself or becomes a CBDC?
