Why does gold feel more natural as a scarce asset

Before understanding btc, when I saw gold, I don’t know why, the meaning of it just came directly inside my head. It’s just… something good, something precious. What is so intrinsically good about gold that even as a kid, I knew it was something very scarce and precious? I mean, did I not even think about the possibility of more golds being mined or something like that?

As opposed to btc, what makes gold so special and how and when will people start to view btc the same way they view gold? Will there be a btc generation soon?
