Another day, another dormant bitcoin wallet awakens

It’s interesting to see some more old dormant addresses being activated after over a decade of being quiet.

The most recent activated address is a 12 year old address holding 1,000 bitcoin or $27.5 million dollars USD.

This tweet puts some context on the wallet: It was dormant since May 2011 which is less than 1 year after the Bitcoin pizza guy purchased pizza for 10,000 bitcoin. And was 5 months after Satoshi’s last post.
